ELBURTON Villa's popular striker Lee Harvey might have grabbed all the headlines, and his side's equalising goal, after announcing this was his final game, but it was also a sad day for Saltash supporters.

The cultured Paul Madden was also playing his final game before going to the Far East and he was involved in the build-up, along with Mark Chapman, for the Ashes' opening goal.

Chapman's final ball found Daley Simpson lobbing goalkeeper Simon May from the edge of the box to give Ashes a 14th minute lead.

Harvey headed Villa level but back came the Ashes with Marc Thorne heading home.

Three minutes from time the Ashes' defensive wall left just enough gap for Steve Sims to curl a 20 yard free kick into the net for a goal which meant the points were shared.

Man of the match: Paul Madden (Saltash).
