European arrest warrant issued for man with Cornwall connections
Police in the Cornwall area are seeking a 61 year-old man who is wanted in connection with a standard prison recall.
Michael Balmer is sought due to breaching conditions of his prison licence which has now been revoked.

A European arrest warrant has now been issued for his arrest.
Devon and Cornwall police are proactively following a number of lines of enquiry to ascertain his current location.

Balmer was released from prison in August last year and has since failed to comply with the terms of his licence and Devon and Cornwall Probation issued a prison recall making him arrestable on sight.
Police intend to arrest him once he has been located.
He is described as white man, 61 years-old with blue eyes and a ruddy complexion. He has short grey hair with a gruff voice. He is slim and 1.85m tall.
He has links to Cornwall, Wales and police believe that he may have travelled to Southern Ireland.
Police advise the public not to approach this man.
