Falmouth Hotel manager takes iron man challenge indoors
AN iron man challenge with a difference faces Falmouth Hotel’s general manager, Christopher Roberts.
Roads, rivers and tough Cornish weather will be replaced by tread mill, swimming pool, exercise bike and the relative comfort of the leisure suite in January.
Mr Roberts has volunteered to swim 322 lengths, cycle 112 miles and run a treadmill marathon raising money for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW).
Mary Murfin, community fundraiser for CHSW, said: “The challenge that Christopher has taken on is extraordinary and I wish him huge amounts of luck for the day but also would like to thank him for choosing to do this all in aid of CHSW.
