A FAMILY today has paid tribute to a 23-year-old woman found dead in woodlands in Cornwall.

Laura Hoskin, a medical secretary at a GP practice, was discovered in her car in Prideux Wood, near the Eden Project, on Tuesday afternoon.

Just hours before, her worried boss had posted an alert on the social networking site Facebook, urging anyone had seen or heard from her to get in touch.

Her family today paid tribute to "a truly beautiful young woman" in a statement released through Devon and Cornwall Police.

“We are deeply saddened to have lost our dear Laura," reads the tribute released this morning. “At this moment we are finding some comfort in remembering all of the wonderful memories, which we will treasure deep in our hearts always.

“Laura was a devoted family member who loved and cared for us all, and touched each of our lives in a unique and special way.

“A truly beautiful young woman, who will be sadly missed by all of her family”.

Miss Hoskin had been a pupil at Poltair School before studying at Cornwall College.

She lived in Bodmin and had been employed at the Polkyth Surgery in St Austell since 2005.

There are no suspicious circumstances relating to Miss Hoskin's death and the matter has been reported to the coroner.
