YOUNG people from Truro will take to the catwalk for the first time during a charity fashion show in aid of Ella's Memory.

The event, which takes place at Vertigo, Truro, tomorrow, will feature 15 people who were selected alongside professional models during casting sessions last month.

"It's a great opportunity for me to find out what it's like to be a model and have the chance to work with professional stylists, make-up artists and hairdressers," said Delia Schofield, 17, from Falmouth. "I'm very excited to be involved and to see how fashion shows are put together."

The event, organised in collaboration with Impact Model Agency, showcases Benetton's autumn/winter collection.

"Ella's Memory is a very special local charity and we feel very privileged to be able to help raise funds for it. Hopefully the show will become an annual event," said Benetton's owner, Chris Hunter.

Ella's Memory was set up to raise funds for the Royal Cornwall Hospital's Daisy Suite which helps parents overcome the grief of losing a young child. For tickets, please contact Benetton, Nalders Court, Pydar Street, Truro, or call 01872 274731.
