It was set up by Janna Hague from Camelford and Lizzy Webber from St Teath to fill the gap in breast feeding support. Both were trained by not-for-profit campaign Real Baby Milk.
"Anyone who wants information, support and friendship can get together at the café," said Janna.
"Dads and older siblings are also welcome. We have plenty of toys and art materials, and fully-trained peer support. There is also a library and resources for mothers to use, and cloth nappies and baby slings are available."
St Kew Harvest Farm Shop is donating a cake for every session. A guest at the launch was the town's vicar, the Rev Jim Benton-Evans, who chairs the advisory board of the children's centre.
At the moment there is an average attendance of eight mums and their children and more are welcome.
