A REAL baby took to the stage to play the part of Jesus in St Merryn School's reception class nativity.

The little boy was called Fin and is the son of head teacher Sarah Cudmore who took a break from her maternity leave to sit on the stage with him as Mary while the children sang.

Acting head teacher Alison Brook said: "The audience loved every minute of the play and were really impressed with how many songs the children had learned."
