Off to the Finals!!
Last Friday at Richmond Championship Dog Show in Surrey Shaylan Sanderson, aged 11, from Bodmin competed in the semi finals of the Junior handling competition to try and gain a place in the finals at Earls Court, London in November. There are 7 categories of dogs and she was in the toy dog section in the 6-11 age group. There is also a 12-16 age grp. In Shaylans class there were 10 competitors and she won 1st place handling her Pomeranian dog, Frankie. This is a prestigious competeion for young members of The Kennel Club and the children strive all year round at various shows in the UK to get to the semi finals. The 14 winners from each group now go forward to compete for Junior Handler of the Year and the winner of this will represent the UK at Crufts in the International Handler of the year with contestants from around the globe taking part........so good luck Shaylan we all are so very proud of your achievements.
