Fistral Beach fisherman swept off rocks into sea
A fisherman has been taken to hospital after being swept from rocks and into the sea at Fistral Beach, Newquay.
The 45-year-old man was washed off the rocks into the water at approximately 5pm today.
He was dragged out of the waves by lifeguards and taken by ambulance to the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske.
A coastguard spokesman said: “He was pretty cold and had swallowed quite a bit of water.”
