Air Force is called in to target the litterbugs
A SCRAP metal merchant has taken to the skies on the lookout for the worst litter spots in Cornwall ahead of a countywide clean-up operation.
Henry Orchard, also marketing manager for the Clean Cornwall initiative, was given his unique perspective thanks to Newquay's new visitor attraction, the Classic Air Force.

"It's brilliant that the [Classic Aircraft] Trust have chosen to get behind Clean Cornwall Week," he said.
"It all came from a chance conversation I had with Davie Paton, CEO for the Classic Air Force, about Clean Cornwall and he offered up one of their postwar aircraft to litter-spot."

Mr Paton said: "Since relocating the collection to Cornwall I've been so impressed by just how proud Cornish people are about their county.
"It's really inspiring, and this sense of pride is something we as an organisation have adopted.
"We're only too glad to be able to help in this way."

“At last! A practical use for the millions that Cornwall Council have poured into Newquay Airport...a bird's eye view of our rubbish.”
