MEVAGISSEY retained their unbeaten record in the first division with a 2-2 draw away to league leaders Fowey United.
Luke Giles and Mark Smith were on target for Fowey, with the visitors scoring through Ben Rothwell and Martin Davy.
Second-placed Edgcumbe closed to within two points of Fowey with an 11-1 home win over lowly Holsworthy.
Sean Heward had a hat-trick for Edgcumbe whose other goals came from Matt Williams (2), Wayne Bambridge, Andy Carter, James Cooke, Jason Richards, Rikki Shepherd and Lee Medlin. Holsworthy replied through Ryan Lee.
St Austell kept up the pressure in third place with a 6-1 away win over bottom club Nanpean thanks to goals from Geoff Dillon (2), Aaron Yeo (og), James Cutlan, Phil Hutchings and Rob Giltjes.
Lanreath followed up their recent divisional cup win at Bodmin with a 6-3 league success at Priory Park, scoring two goals each through Lee Harry Powell, Jay Hussey and Simon Libby. Ross Welch (2) and Nathan Smallman were on target for Bodmin.
Probus went down 3-2 at home to Plymstock despite scoring two penalties through John Penhaligan and Paul Cox. Kenny Speare scored twice for the visitors with Ryan Yeoman also on target.
The match between Roche and St Blazey fell victim to the wet weather.
Goals from Harry Hopcroft and James Macnary saw Camelford through to the quarter-finals of the Rowett Insurance League Cup with a 2-1 away win over St Austell last Wednesday evening.
