Fourth band is signed for Newquay's free music gig
The sixth Joe Way Paddle for Life lands its fourth Cornish band for this years Sunset Session on Thursday 6th June at Newquay Harbour.
Cornish Band "The Racketeers" are a newly formed 4 piece band comprising of previous members of Back Harlow Road and The Cardinals.
After old bands folded, a passion for playing has brought musicians Jethro, Richie, Guy and Dan together to carry the live music torch in this new format.
With new funk and dance influences to meld with strong beats, shredding guitars and melodic vocals, these accomplished musicians play upbeat, feel good dance, rock and funk with the main aim of filling dance floors.

They want their audiences to leave a gig sweating, and remember them as a good time band who take people back a few years and throw in a few musical surprises.
Jethro Baines said "Our plan for the year is to continue developing the set and write and record some original material whilst gigging in pubs, clubs and at weddings and parties across Cornwall. We are looking forward to supporting Joe's Appeal as some of us have done before when we where Back Harlow Road, its going to be a great night".
The sunset session starts on the beach with Ben Sutcliff from "The string Peoples Foundation", Cornwall's "The Straw Dogs", Newquay's Steel appeal who are a 10 piece steel drum band and The Racketeers to finish off in the rowing club.
The charity fun Paddle starts at 4pm and at around 6.30pm Titan the Robot will arrive to entertain the crowds.
Matt Way Joe's dad said "We are looking forward to the live music this year as the event keeps getting bigger, we are so grateful for the support that we have and the bands all playing for free to entertain the town".
