Last week, Ben "skindog" Skinner and Adam Griffiths had been selected to surf for SurfingGB in the first ever ISA World Longboarding Games in Peru.
The two best Juniors, Ben Bates (17), Raife Gaskell (17) and Britain's number one female Claire Smail have also been selected through the Rankings of the British Longboard Union events after guidance from SurfingGB and the ISA.
They will head out to Huachao beach in Peru to compete against the best longboarders from around the world in the surfing equivalent of the Olympic games on the hunt for Britain's first ever world Gold medalist in the ISA but have no funding.
The "Endless Fundraiser" will be at Fistral beach bar on Thursday the 5th September and will start at 6pm with a Newquay surf life saver taster, free family beach tennis, free Fistral Rangers session with Karl, face painting and an opportunity to surf along side some of the British team including Ben Skinner and Adam Griffiths. The trophies will be handed out at 8.00pm before the raffle and all are welcome.
Newquay musician Joe Hurworth will be playing at the beach bar from 7pm and with a great raffle there will be plenty to do for all the family and for adults as the evening progresses.
Matt Way from the Joe Way Appeal said "Ben, Adam and the surfing community have helped us raise over £117k for 20 charities over the last five years so we are delighted to finally be able to offer some help to these guys. Joe would have been 10 years old on the same day as the event so it's a nice way to celebrate and remember him".
