Free business start-up course for over 50s
OVER fifties who want to start their own enterprise can attend a free business start-up course in Truro to learn the basics and test out their idea.
The three-day course is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) Convergence programme. It targets out-of-work people aged over 50 who are thinking of changing direction by starting their own businesses or social enterprise.
Course leader Sylvia Berry said: "This project acknowledges that people aged over 50 have a mine of ideas and talents that can lead to success in self-employment.
"These courses are aimed to offer support when people have a germ of an idea and are wondering whether or not it would work in the business world."
