TWO trapped people had to be freed by firefighters and ambulance personnel following a collision in Polperro on Sunday.

A black Land Rover Freelander and a black Honda Civic were involved in the accident, in Longcoombe Lane at 12.40pm.

Fire crews from Looe, Polruan and Bodmin were called to the scene and found two casualties were trapped in the vehicles.

They were extricated and conveyed to hospital.

Both the air and land ambulances went to the scene.
