New equipment purchased by the South West Mesothelioma Support Group has been presented to staff at Derriford Hospital and St Luke's Hospice in Plymouth. Two wheelchairs were donated to the hospital's chest clinic to transport patients to and from the X-ray department, while two nebulisers, which help patients with breathing difficulties, were handed to the hospice. The new items of equipment were purchased with money garnered during a number of events staged throughout the year by the support group, which raises awareness and funds for asbestos-related diseases.
