Funds keep coming in for Little Harbour childrens hospice southwest
Local businesses have already donated over £550 in memory of Newquay toddler Joe Way for the children's hospice southwest in exchange for having their logos on a car that's heading on a 4000 mile trip.
Riverside holiday park, The Garage, Newquay Garden Center, Hutton Hire, Braefel Garage, ccConversions, Bathroom Studio, Lantallic and The Colourworx have all donated funds, support or vehicle parts.
The Banjul Challenge heads South through Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Atlas Mountain's and Senegal, finally arriving in Banjul in The Gambia. The route travels mostly on tarmac roads, but the highlight is the two-day crossing of the Sahara Desert. The journey is approximately 4000 miles, and can comfortably be covered in three weeks (if all goes well).
Newquay man Ian Bodman and his Brother in law John Reeves from Southampton are preparing for Sand, Sea and even more sand. They are preparing for the heat of the desert sun, and the challenge of nursing an early 90's Renault Clio affectionately named CLEO all the way to destinations that most people would only consider flying to.

Ian Bodman said "Cleo was at the opening of the new coffee shop at Newquay Garden Center yet another of our sponsors, we where collecting for the Joe Way appeal and put all the new livery and sponsors stickers on the car. We just need to service the old girl and fit some new suspension components, donated by both our garage sponsors. We would like to thank Newquay garden center for also running a raffle to raise funds as well".
Matt Way Joe's Dad said "This is a great challenge we are really stoked that Ian and John have chosen to promote Joe's story, the paddle for life and raise money for the Children's hospice. We are still looking for businesses who can have their logo on the car for a £50 donation".
Perranporth signs have donated all the stickers for the car and you can donate on Ian's just giving page and follow the teams progress at www.facebook.com/TeamKrnoKenza
