In fact, they are unbeaten since losing away to league leaders Bude two months ago.

But the Ashes gained their reward after the interval with a hat-trick from Aaron West, two goals from Ryan Elliott and one from new signing James Walton-Gould while Harry Fry weighed in with a second for Bere Alston.

MoM: Aaron West (Saltash).

Plymouth Parkway 3, Lanreath 0

LANREATH collected their last point when they drew 1-1 at home to Parkway in September, but they had to travel to Bolitho Park with a weakened side because of injuries and came away pointless.

They did not have the best of luck with goalkeeper Scott Luscombe punching an attempted clearance from a Phil Daniel corner into his own net to give Parkway an interval lead.

Lewis Young headed a second for Parkway immediately after the break and Mark Stevenson wrapped up victory for the home side, who have climbed to fifth place in the table with a run of four successive league victories.

MoM: Darren Ware (Parkway).

Torpoint Athletic 8, St Dominick 1

TORPOINT were too good for a St Dominick side who were unable to build on the previous week's home win over Elburton Villa.

Darren Wills and Chris Todd impressed on their return for Torpoint with Brian Stacey grabbing four goals to help his side up to third place in the table.

The Saints were still in the dressing room when Ross Avery scored with a header in the first minute and they were on the back foot for the rest of the game.

Stacey scored two in each half with Avery, Ben Applegate and Darren Shepherd completing the Torpoint scoring while Dan Summerfield had a consolation for Saints.

MoM: Brian Stacey (Torpoint).

The other three premier division matches – Elburton Villa v Launceston, Morwenstow v Liskeard and Tavistock v Millbrook – were postponed because of waterlogged pitches.
