Gas cylinder fear after caravan arson attack
Arsonists are thought to have started a fire which destroyed a caravan and threatened a nearby house. Firefighters from St Austell and Fowey were alerted to the blaze in Rose Hill, St Blazey, shortly before 4am yesterday. Officers wearing breathing apparatus used four jets to prevent the fire, which also involved gas cylinders, spreading to the adjacent property. The fire was brought under control within half an hour and crews remained on the scene for a further 20 minutes, damping down.
