Giant burger is prize in Penzance fish and chip shop charity raffle for Mercedes Curnow Foundation
A TOWERING burger is the ultimate prize being offered by a Penzance business raising money for a local charity.
Herbies fish and chip shop was targeted by thieves earlier this month when a Mercedes Curnow Foundation charity box was taken.
Now owners Steve and Nicola Herbert are hoping to recoup their fundraising losses with a raffle - and a mammoth beef burger as the prize.
"We are doing this to try and raise the money back," said Mr Herbert who added that around £30 was stolen with the tin was taken from the Causewayhead business on Monday January 7.

The winner will be presented with the 'millennium burger', ten 4oz beef burgers in a bun complete with eight slices of cheese and filled with salad and relish. The giant bite is so big it has to be kept together by two wooden skewers.
The winner will also get their picture on the Herbies Facebook page.
