Ben "skindog" Skinner and Adam Griffiths along with Ben Bates (17), Raife Gaskell (17) and Britain's number one female Claire Smail have been selected to surf for SurfingGB in the first ever ISA World Longboarding Games in Peru this month.
They will head out to Huachao beach in Peru next week to compete against the best longboarders from around the world in the surfing equivalent of the Olympic games on the hunt for Britain's first ever world Gold medalist in the ISA but have no funding.
The team are aiming to raise £10,000.00 to cover the trip and to also have some money left towards training the next generation of teamgb as there is no current funding for surfing.

In just 12 days they have raised over £5,100.00 on theirwww.crowdfunder.co.uk/teamgb page where you can make a pledge for goods and services from the team. Another £1000.00 was raised by the Joe Way Appealsfundraiser which was held at the Fistral Beach bar in Newquay.
The latest pledge from indo board also coincided with a visit to the UK from American founder Surfer, Hunter Joslin, who with more than 40 years of surfing experience, developed the Indo Board Balance Trainer over a 30 year span beginning with the first proto-type in 1975. Originally designed to train surfers out of the water, Mr. Joslin discovered from his growing cadre of loyal Indo Board fans that the apparatus was much more than a surfing simulator.
See Hunters message on the GB team video and pledge £150 in return for £250 worth of Indo goodies at www.crowdfunder.co.uk/teamgb
Adriano Roldan the UK & EU distributor for indo board said "The Indo Board Balance Trainer is the most versatile balance board product available in the market today. We have supported UK surfers and the Newquay Joe Way paddle for life for years so we where happy to help".
