Glynn Hooper looking forward to return to St Blazey
AFTER spending more than a decade at Blaise Park, Glynn Hooper has revealed he has "no axe to grind" when he returns to former club St Blazey tonight (7.30pm).
Hooper left the Green & Blacks in 2011 to take up the managerial reins at Mount Wise. It was a move that shocked many at the time as Hooper, and his assistant Phil Lafferty, made the decision to drop down to Division One West with Newquay.

But after steering the Peppermints to the league title and promotion at the first attempt, Hooper and Lafferty, and several former St Blazey players, will return to Blaise Park for the first time this season.
It's an occasion Hooper is very much looking forward to, having spent so long at the club as a player and a manager.

He said: "I spent 11 very happy years at Blaise Park and I certainly won't have any axe to grind with any individuals.
"I left for football reasons and it was the right time for a new challenge. It didn't work out as I wanted and I think it was time to move on.
"You don't spend that long at one club to have an axe to grind with anybody.
"I'm looking forward to going back. It should be a great game between two good footballing teams."
Hooper will asses the fitness of former St Blazey goalkeeper Tom Blackler, who played in Saturday's 2-1 win at Cullompton (match report page 108). Blackler returned to the side sooner than Hooper would have liked with Sam Trudgian on Cornwall County Youth duty.
Hooper was pleased with the response of his players following the bitter disappointment of last Tuesday's Cornwall Senior Cup exit at the hands of Helston Athletic.
He said: "I don't think we we could have any complaints. Helston pushed us all the way and we didn't defend well enough. We bounced back on Saturday, which was important."
