FORMER Foxhole Stars striker Richard Griffin scored a hat-trick as Godolphin returned to winning ways at the expense of a Stars side that has now lost all 13 league games this season.

The G Men's 100 per cent winning start to the league season was brought to an end after they were held to a 2-2 draw at Penryn Athletic in midweek.

However, Derek Martin's men made sure they remain top of the division one west table with a victory that was to be expected against bottom of the table Foxhole, who have now conceded 82 league goals this season.

The visitors worked hard in the opening 25 minutes, before their defence was finally breached when Griffin turned and fired the ball into the roof of the net from 15 yards.

With an hour played Griffin grabbed his second goal when he directed home Josh Fearon's cross.

Griffin then completed his hat-trick in the 75th minute before Lee Paxton completed the scoring with full-time approaching.
