Grampound volunteers to decide how to spend £15,000 wind turbine cash
Volunteers are being asked to come forward to decide how best to spend a pot of community cash.
Grampound with Creed Parish Council is aiming to set up a local advisory panel to decide how to spend £15,000 generated from two new wind turbines.
Construction of the turbines is due to start on the Garlenick Estate soon.
As part of the plans, developer Airvolution will give the Grampound community £15,000 a year for 25 years to go into local projects and groups.

The panel will be made up of seven people to include one Cornwall councillor, one Grampound with Creed Parish councillor and five people from the local area.
Members will meet a few times each year to consider grant applications and to recommend whether they should be supported or not.
The money will be available for; energy efficiency, training or education, projects for school ages children or older people, or any other community project for the benefit of residents in the parish.
