Green projects ready to share £26,000 in cash
Renewable energy projects on Exmoor can share in a £26,000 fund set aside to help the national park become carbon neutral.
Grants are available to cover start-up costs for a number of schemes which are set to benefit communities across the landscape.
Solar panel or wood-fuelled heating systems for village halls, churches, schools or pubs and shops are examples of projects eligible for funding.
The Exmoor Trust is making the cash available under its newly launched Carbon Neutral Exmoor Fund.

Archie McIntyre, vice-chairman of the trust, said: "We are delighted to be able to offer this fund which should contribute towards sustaining community facilities across Exmoor for years to come.
"We are grateful to the National Park Authority for its help in making this happen."
As there is only a limited amount of funding available, applicants will take part in a competitive process and will need to demonstrate their project is technically sound, good value for money and has support from within the community.
The closing date for applications is November 30 and forms can be downloaded from the website www. exmoortrust.org.uk or are available from Tim Stokes or Ben Eardley at Exmoor National Park Authority on 01398 323665.
