Guides with glamour
GUIDES could have danced all night and still have begged for more when they held a ball to celebrate 100 years of Guiding.
And what a great excuse for all the girls to shed their uniforms in preference to glamorous gowns and dancing shoes.

Pleased to help celebrate 100 years of Guiding are Kayleigh Aston,Bethany Sargent, Chelsea Vidler and Amber Wiecha.
Guides from the Camelford and St Breward district were dressed to the nines and kicking up their heels at Tintagel Castle Hotel.
District commissioner Jill Jeffs said: "This year is the centenary of Guiding and I wanted the girls to do something they would always remember in years to come. They spent all day dressing up and getting themselves ready and we had a fantastic evening. There was a buffet dinner and disco, and a celebration cake was cut by Chris Irons, a retiring district commissioner, and Chelsea, who at 10 was our youngest Guide at the ball. We allowed husbands and partners to come along but they all had to wear dinner jackets. After all, the girls all looked beautiful and where's the fun in them dressing up if they have nobody to show off to?"
New Guides are always welcome – for more information contact Mrs Jeffs on 01840 212497.
