Film lovers have to chance to watch action-packed Top Gun in the fitting surroundings of Newquay Cornwall Airport.

Event Cornwall and Skylight Cinema are working together for a second year, in conjunction with Skybus and the airport, as part of the Outdoor Screenings Season.

The 1986 film, that brought Tom Cruise his fame and was directed by the late Tony Scott, will be screened on Friday, September 14 in a hangar alongside a Skybus aircraft.

Skylight's Toby Budd said: "It was really sad to hear of the recent death of Tony Scott, but I hope the film being screened in this unique surrounding will help enhance one of this great director's most popular films."

He added: "We always advise people to wrap up warm, but we want them to come in fancy dress to enhance the evening."

Tickets, which cost £9 with £7 concessions, are available through the Hall for Cornwall box office.
