Gymnast seeks support
A TALENTED young gymnast is appealing for support from the business community after being offered the chance to go to the USA next year.
Jazz Tredinnick, 16, from Penzance, has been representing the county since she was 9. Now, she and three of her fellow county gymnasts from Mullion Gymnastics Centre have been asked to travel to Florida next February to train and compete for a week.
"I have a part-time job at a local café and we have held gym sleepovers, a gymnastic sponsored triathlon and fun days to raise money but due to the cost of training and going to and from Mullion, the cost of the trip to Florida is difficult to meet," the Mounts Bay Academy student said.
"At the moment my competition goals are aimed at the British Challenge next year but in the longer term I would love to get into coaching and get the opportunity to travel and gain experience. This trip to Florida would be a wonderful start."
