BREAKFAST for local businesses and councillors was not funded by taxpayers, Helston Town Council has been told.
The council's accounts produced on Thursday showed that £227 had been spent on a breakfast meeting for the new Helston Business Improvement Partnership.
Councillors said the money came from the town centre management budget, which is part of the £800,000 given to Helston by Tesco and Sainsbury's.
