A HAIRDRESSER from Truro has been recognised as a future styling star in a national ceremony.

Carla Fairburn, who won the TIGI Inspirational Youth Programme award event in London, said: "I feel truly grateful to have worked with some of the best hairdressers in the industry and feel blessed to receive an award."

Inkfish, where she works in Truro, was also nominated as retailer of the year.

Catrina Lilley, marketing manager, said: We work so hard to deliver professional advice on hair care to our clients and being nominated for retailer of the year was a great achievement for the salon."
