Hang glider injured in Perranporth sand dune crash
A man suffered head injuries when his hang glider plummeted out of the skies and crashed into sand dunes at a Cornish beach.
When emergency services reached the man, he was breathing and conscious.

The accident happened on Saturday at about 2.20pm at Perranporth beach, near Newquay.
A member of the public spotted the hang glider smashing into the ground near the Perran Sands Holiday Park.

Falmouth Coastguard said a rescue helicopter from RNAS Culdrose near Helston was asked to go to the beach but the crew stood down after paramedics confirmed the man was conscious and breathing.
The St Agnes Coastguard Rescue Team arrived to help carry the stretcher across the dunes to an ambulance.
The man was taken to The Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske, Truro, for treatment.
A spokesman for Falmouth Coastguard said the hang glider's injuries were not as bad as first feared. He said: "It was initially thought that the hang glider was seriously injured but it then became apparent he was talking and not in bad shape, considering he crashed into a sand dune."
