Haunting evening at castle
PENGERSICK Castle – considered as one of the most haunted buildings in Europe – will house a lone paranormal investigator for the night at Hallowe'en.
Christian Adams has investigated the supernatural for seven years and covered more than 200 known haunted locations. He will stay by himself from 7pm to 4am in the castle in Praa Sands, and report any events that happen over the course of the night with recording equipment.
It is hoped people will donate for the event to help raise funds to overhaul the castle.
Secretary to the Pengersick Historic and Education Trust, Ruth Thomas said: "We hope to raise £300,000 to completely renovate the castle. It is in desperate need of a new roof, and we then hope to secure the fabric of the building, undertake repointing and completely renovate it inside from top to bottom."
It is hoped the castle will reopen to the public in 2012. You can donate at www.justgiving.com/christianadams.
