Hayle Surf Life Saving Club return triumphant from Devon competition
Hayle Surf Life Saving Club returned triumphant from their latest competition in Devon.
The team picked up gold, silver and bronze medals at the National Inshore Rescue Boat (IRB) Championships, held in Bigbury.
The competition tests the skills of IRB drivers and crews throughout various simulated challenges.
National titles were given to both the men’s team and masters men’s team for mass and single pick-ups.

Dave Parker, from Hayle Surf Life Saving, said: “Once again, the sun was out for the IRB championships. The Hayle team were in great spirits after their success in the European championships and their teamwork paid off with excellent results.”
All 14 members of the team came home with at least one medal each.
The club is now looking forward to sending a team to Rescue 2014 World Life Saving Championships held in Montpellier, France, next September.
