A formal consultation has been launched into proposals by a Cornwall radio station to alter its output. Heart Cornwall, which is owned by Atlantic Broadcasting Ltd, has applied to regulator Ofcom to change the "character" of its service. The station, which holds the commercial radio licence for Cornwall, wants to bring its output more closely into line with the rest of the stations in the Heart network. Ofcom is urging anyone who wishes to take part in the consultation to get in touch via www.ofcom.org.uk by September 12.
