Heavy hail storms have cause a series of road traffic crashes on the A30 in Cornwall this morning.

A man was left trapped in his car after his Peugeot 307 ended up on its roof on a slip road westbound between the Jamaica Inn and Bodmin at around 9am.

Fire crews were called to release the man who was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries and the road was reopened at 10.45am.

Two separate incidents were reported on the A30 near Highgate Hill at Indian Queens.
