Helicopters rescue French fisherman
A French fisherman was airlifted to hospital after suffering medical problems. Two helicopters scrambled to the fishing vessel 200 miles South West of the Isles of Scilly, at around 6pm on Thursday. It is thought the man suffered an epileptic fit. Falmouth Coastguard said due to the location, it was a long operation, with both helicopters having to refuel on the Isles of Scilly. Rescue crews from Culdrose and Chivenor both attended. The casualty was taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
