A TRURO-based charity is appealing to businesses to help it create a "dream wedding" to be auctioned later this month. Several firms have already pledged prizes to the Ella's Memory Dream Wedding Auction, set up by Martyn and Emmillie Selley.

The couple want to overhaul facilities at the Royal Cornwall Hospital's Daisy Suite after their child was stillborn last December.

Sarah Gillett, who runs wedding planning firm Perfect Preparation and is helping with the auction, has secured prizes from Absolute Canvas in Falmouth and Paul Keppel Photography, the use of a Mercedes E class car from Falmouth Wedding Cars, Pogo Fandango wedding stationery, a bespoke three-tier wedding cake from Cakes By Design and a wedding planner for the big day.

Mrs Gillett said: "I have three children of my own and wanted to do something to help a charity which is so close to home. This is a way of bringing the business community together to support parents going through such a traumatic time."

The lucky couple will be announced in the West Briton on December 16.
