Helston Athletic put more pressure on rivals Godolphin Atlantic
HELSTON Athletic manager Sid Taylor believes title rivals Godolphin Atlantic are showing their first signs of vulnerability this season after watching his side beat the league leaders in the Cornwall Charity Cup on Saturday.
Following the humiliation of September's 5-1 division one west defeat at the hands of Godolphin, Helston gained revenge on Saturday with a 2-0 win at Kellaway Parc thanks to goals from Tom Russell and Liam Eddy (match report page 106).

Godolphin lead division one west, though their 100 per-cent winning start was brought to an end after drawing 2-2 at Penryn Athletic last month.
After losing to Stoke Gabriel in the Throgmorton Cup in October and after Saturday's defeat to Helston, Godolphin, according to Taylor, are beginning to show signs of weakness.

Doubts
He said: "What happens is when you lose a cup game and you've won for three or four weeks in a row doubts will creep in.
"They've dropped points at Penryn, they were knocked out of the Throgmorton Cup and now the Charity Cup.
"That's going to put a doubt in their minds, but I'll deal with our team, our strengths and our weaknesses."
But it is Wadebridge Town who have now emerged as Helston's biggest challengers for promotion. The Bridgers have won all nine league games this season and are just one point behind Taylor's men with two games in hand.
This weekend Helston host division one west new boys Sticker at Kellaway Parc with an earlier kick off time of 2.15pm due to the darker evenings.
Title rivals Wadebridge are at home to Perranporth and Godolphin welcome Truro City.
The draw for the quarter-finals of the Charity Cup, meanwhile, takes place tomorrow. While Helston await to learn of their opponents, Porthleven will also be hoping to be included in the draw.
Their first round tie against Hayle was postponed on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch at Gala Parc, with the rearranged game due to take place last night.
Taylor said: "There's not a large number of teams in this cup. We're in to the quarter-finals with one of the favourites (Godolphin) out. We've not won anything at this level and it's a good opportunity."
