Helston Harvest Fair
Although the weather has been unpredictable this year and Gardens are finding it hard to work out what season it is, the Harvest Fair Committee are organizing an exciting new event called "Helston celebrates your patch of Green".
Local people and the community will be given the opportunity to nominate themselves or a neighbor for the prize of Best Hanging baskets and containers, best Floral Garden and the best Vegetable plot. (For the Vegetable plot, the judges are looking more for sustainability and conservation than just a pretty plot.)
Judging will take place on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of July.

The prize giving will be held on September the 7th at the Epworth Hall at 7.30pm were there is to be a free event staged by local performers to launch the beginning of Helston Celebrates Harvest Fair.
Anyone interested in entering or nominating a Garden can pick up a free entry form from The Sweet Pea florist or Fruit & Veg 4U both in Meneage Street, Helston.
The Committee is hoping for a big response to the competition and hope Helston will once again show its strong Community spirit.
