The top two played in Division One of the West Cornwall Winter League last week and unbeaten leaders Wendron CC A won the last doubles for a 5-4 victory over Helston RBL A. Singles winners for Wendron were Ian Williams, Les Rundle, Peter Williams and Jason Grigor.
After a great run of games, Lizard FC A are now only one point behind the Legion in third, last week they won 7-2 against Harbour B. Harbour B had better fortunes in a re-arranged game against White Hart B, gaining a 6-3 victory.
Meanwhile, White Hart B won 5-4 against their A team and Helston RBL F consolidated fourth spot with a 6-3 over the Bell.
Helston CC A hold onto top spot in Division Two, winning five out of the six singles in a 6-3 win over Lion and Lamb B, but Seven Stars A are still right behind them after defeating Helston RBL E by the same score.
Helston RBL B are still not out of it, they won 7-2 against Wheal Dream last week and are only four points behind the top two teams.
Wins from Dave Normanshire, Ian Laity and G Blake helped the Three Tuns A team to a 5-4 win over Helston RFC A while nearer the bottom Paris A gained a 5-4 win over the Rodney Inn.
The Godolphin Club still lead Division Three after a 6-3 win over Mullion FC last week but wins from Steve Tremayne, Steve Husking, Ben Tremayne and Ed Savage helped Helston RFC B to a 5-4 win over the Red Lion A team and they are only two points behind in second with a game in hand. Constantine SC had the biggest win of the week, winning 8-1 against Helston FC B and Lizard FC B also had a good victory, winning 7-2 against the Crown Inn A team.
Gweek Inn B won 6-3 against the Rodney Inn B team and still lead Division Four but are still being chased by the Crown Inn B team who edged out Lizard FC C 5-4. Wins from Mark Fisher, Richard Hall and Matt Hall helped Red Lion C to a 5-4 win over Gweek inn C but with only three weeks to go a promotion spot looks out of the question as they trail second spot by 15 points. The Queens Arms gained a 7-2 win over White Hart D.
In Division Five, Potters Bar A upset leaders Queens Arms, Constantine, defeating them 6-3 with singles wins coming from Jamie Stones, Chris Ensink, Kevin Ensink and Andrew Winn.
Red Lion B trailed 3-1 against the Godolphin Arms but rallied well to gain a 5-4 win and stay in second spot ahead of White Hart E, who won 7-2 against Helston CC B. St Aubyn Arms gained a 6-3 win over Wendron CC B, as did the Seven Stars B team who defeated the Potters Bar B team. Will all teams please note that there are only three weeks left of the season and there are still several re-arranged games still to be played.
Summer league entry forms are being posted/delivered this week.

HURRICANES END WITH WIN:
Culdrose Hurricanes 2, Rosudgeon Raiders 0
Sunday saw the Culdrose Hurricanes play Rosudgeon Raiders in their final league game of the season.
The game started with the Hurricanes dominating the play and within 10 minutes both Charlie Glover and Sam James had chances to score with their shots going just wide of the post.
With 15 minutes played some good build up play by the Hurricanes found Stephen Allinson in space and his aerial pass found Thomas Bryant, who volleyed the ball into the top corner of the net.
This forced the Hurricanes forward to continue attacking but some half hearted efforts left the Raiders with plenty of chances to score but they were unable to take them.
The second half started the same way with the Hurricanes losing their shape and the Raiders going close on a number of occasions.
Ten minutes in a through ball from Edward Estall found Charlie Glover who slotted home his eighth goal of the season. Both teams had further chances but the game finished with a 2-0 win for the Hurricanes, who are runners up in the league.
A big well done to all of the Hurricanes who have played some very good football this season.
A big friendly next Sunday against Holmans Scorpions, who are two leagues above the Hurricanes, followed by the semi finals of the league cup.
Culdrose: Joseph James, Matt Binks, Edward Estall, Thomas Bryant, Stephen Allinson, Sam James, John Kemp, Charlie Glover & Jacob Jay. Man of the match – Thomas Bryant.

EXCITING MATCH:
On Mothering Sunday Helston RFU Youth team U8s travelled to play Perranporth.
Helston U8s 13, Perranporth 14
Helston's team featured: Ade, Ben, Ellie, Guy, Liam, Reggie, Sam & Tom, with Harry, Harvey and Matt leased to the U7s.
It was a finely balanced affair of three periods to be decided only on the final whistle.
First period Helston 4, Perranporth 5
Never missing an opportunity Sam opened the account for Helston by finishing a magnificent run from Guy and Ellie. Tom's blistering pace down most of the pitch ensured Helston's second try. Sam and Tom repeated their performance for another two to leave Helston in contention at the first whistle.
Second period: Helston 5, Perranporth 4
Ellie has the power to run straight through the opposition – three times – with the never ungenerous aid of her agile brother Liam. Sam and Reggie were to add their markers similarly.
3rd period: Helston 4, Perranporth 5
Perranporth capitalised on Helston infringements for the first three tries, but Helston's relentless tagging gave Guy, Liam and Tom unmissed chances to slim the overall margin to one. Given half a chance or another half Helston were champing at the bit, but the ref's decision was final.
Tries: Ellie 3, Sam 3, Tom 3, Guy 2, Liam and Reggie.

TITLE RACE HOTS UP:
The title race in Division 1 of the Mining Snooker League has turned into one of the closest for several seasons as Penponds A kept up the pressure on reigning champions Clinton SC A last week.
While Clinton A were dropping a point at Playing Place, Penponds A took a full house against Illogan HI B, and are now just five points behind with a match in hand.
The outcome could all hinge on how many frames Penponds A can take this week when Clinton SC A have their bye.
In a bizarre twist, they will be playing away at Clinton SC B.
Last week against Illogan B, Penponds A's Jake Stewart made a fine 60 break, but Illogan B's Darren Jenkin came back with a 39 break, taking the frame to the final pink. Martyn Bawden for Playing Place beat Gary Bray to take what could be a vital frame against Clinton A.
Third-placed Illogan A won 3-2 at Breage, where Nathan Strick made a 44 break for the home team. Bell's Court came out of a lean spell to win 5-0 at Redruth British Rail and share fourth place with St Day, for whom David Annear made a 44 break in their 3-2 win over Penponds B.
Ryan Curnow made a 46 break for Four Lanes, but his team lost 3-2 to Clinton B.
The match could have gone either way, typified by the fact that Graham Beard potted the final black for Clinton B, only to go in-off and lose the last frame to Julian Osborne. The relegation issue is still far from clear, with four teams within four points of each other at the bottom.
In Division 2, Bell's Court, already promoted, need only one frame against second-placed St Day in their last match this week to take the title.
St Day would need to win 5-0 to force a play-off, but cannot now be caught for second place.
Last week, Bell's Court won 3-2 at Camborne Conservative, where young Carl Mitchell beat namesake Richard to clinch the point they needed to guarantee promotion. St Day also won 3-2 against Perranporth Golf Club B.
Redruth RBL had a good 4-1 win at Perranporth Golf Club A, but neither they nor Feock, who lost 4-1 at Illogan, can now catch St Day.
At the bottom, Park Bottom are already relegated. Radnor Golf Club lost several close frames in going down 4-1 to Lanner.
Now trailing Perranporth Golf Club B by five points, they need the results of the last week's matches to go massively in their favour if they are to avoid the drop.
In Division 3, the title and promotion places will all rest on the final matches this week and the result of the rearranged match between Illogan HI and Clinton SC.
Four Lanes hold a two-point lead over Porthleven going into their last match this week, but, if results go against them, could even miss promotion.
Perhaps feeling the pressure, Four Lanes did not do themselves any favours last week by losing 3-2 to the bottom team, Radnor Golf Club, despite a good 36 break by Four Lanes' Robin Matthews in the opening frame.
This week, Porthleven play at Camborne Conservative and Four Lanes are at Illogan, where they need three frames to guarantee promotion and at least a play-off for the title.
