High-value honey stolen in break-in
MORE THAN 100 jars of expensive Manuka honey have been stolen from the Holland and Barrett store in Bodmin.
Thieves broke into the health food store in Fore Street and stole items worth £3,500 in the overnight raid.
Manuka honey can retail for up to £50 for a large jar, and recent thefts of the product, highly prized for its antibacterial properties, have prompted some retailers to place security tags on jars.
A spokesman for Holland and Barrett said: "Manuka honey is a rare and high-value product which we are aware there have been thefts of recently.
