Highway worker dies after van collision
One of the two Highway workers involved in a collision on a major road has died in hospital. Steven Tolley had been in a critical condition with head injuries in Derriford Hospital for six days after he was in collision with a van on the A361 North Devon Link Road on January 29. He died on Monday night and his next-of-kin have been informed. Mr Tolley was part of a South West Highways team repairing a stretch of the dual carriageway at Gornhay. A second man, in his 40s from Tiverton, who suffered serious injuries, has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
