Horse rescued from ditch in Launceston
Firefighters received a callout to Canworthy Water, Launceston on Saturday afternoon, in response to a report of a horse trapped on its back in a water-filled ditch.
Appliances from Launceston, Bude and Bodmin were mobilised, together with the line rescue vehicle from Bodmin.

On arrival Cornwall Fire & Rescue personnel donned dry suits. Using general purpose lines, strops and lengths of hose they were able to successfully recover the horse, which was subsequently examined by an attending vet.
