Hospice care charity to get £50,000 grant
Cornwall Hospice Care has become the latest recipient of a grant from the Superfast Cornwall Fund.
The charity has been awarded £50,000 to improve systems across their countywide shops and central warehouse in Holmbush, which will grow their retail division, creating up to 13 new jobs.
Each of the charity's shops will receive a new till and electronic point of sale system which will, amongst other things, automate existing lengthy administration procedures.
The Superfast Cornwall Fund is designed to help businesses take advantage of the technologies enabled by superfast broadband, helping them grow and, as a result, creating more local jobs.

"This investment from the Superfast Cornwall Fund will help us continue that growth, with the vision of opening a further three shops in the next year, creating retail and warehouse job opportunities.
"The new system will automate what is currently an onerous task, recording gift aid on donations, and other charities have seen an increase of gift aid income after implementing this system."
