Hospice-helping rider aims for £2,000 mark
PENZANCE'S Mark Gregory is about to embark on a 240-mile charity cycle ride to raise funds for Cornwall Hospice Care.
Mark is setting off from Crystal Palace tomorrow and will cycle to Portsmouth on the first stage of his London to Paris bike ride.
After catching the overnight ferry to Dieppe he will spend two days cycling through the French countryside to Paris where he will celebrate with a glass of champagne.
Mark said: "After witnessing first-hand the wonderful end of life care provided by St Julia's Hospice following the death of my stepdad, Jack Guard, last year, I decided to raise some much-needed funds for Cornwall Hospice Care.
