Hospital 'reopens' after £350,000 outpatients and A&E revamp
A Westcountry hospital will be formally opened later today after a £350,000 refurbishment to enhance outpatient and minor A&E services.
Work began to improve Newquay Hospital in January with development split in to three phases. Improvements include an extensive refurbishment of the hospital's minor injury unit, outpatient department and reception.
Elsewhere, building work has been carried out to improve patient facilities and meet infection control, privacy and dignity requirements.
Michael Williams, chairman of Peninsula Community Health (PCH), which runs the hospital, will carry out the official opening.
