Hotel gym closes as owner retires

THE leisure facilities at the Falmouth Beach Hotel have closed for good this week.

Despite the main hotel on the seafront being destroyed by fire last April, the beach club was untouched.

It has been operating since last summer, with the gym and pool facilities open as usual until yesterday.

Owner Hazel Evans announced at the beginning of the year that she was considering selling up.

She has now decided to fully retire and will be selling the site and all buildings, including the beach club. As there will not be enough trained staff available to work in the club, it was agreed to close it.
