Hugh Grant 'backed plans that will invade our privacy'
A campaign group fighting development plans at Helston Railway are calling on Hollywood icon Hugh Grant to return and hear their views in person.
The group wrote an open letter to the star following his visit to Helston Railway last week.
While there he signed a petition in support of the railway's controversial planning application to build a new platform and access road to Trevarno Farm.
Now, in a statement, the Sithney parish residents said: "We are disappointed that the high profile privacy campaigner has given his backing to a planning application, on a visit to Helston Railway at Prospidnick last week.

"The group firmly believes these planning applications impinge on the privacy of a number of families living in Prospidnick hamlet."
They are calling on the Four Weddings and a Funeral actor to return to Prospidnick and listen to their views opposing the railway's latest scheme.
Campaigner Adrian Curtis said: "We have asked Hugh Grant to meet with us and give us the same amount of time that he gave Helston Railway, so that we can put our side of the story.
He further claimed: "We are very disappointed that Mr Grant – who has led very high profile campaigns against invasion of privacy – has now given his backing to the Helston Railway Company scheme, which erodes the privacy of a number of local families.
"We currently get Helston Railway visitors looking into our bedroom and living room windows when they walk to the train, this will only get worse if Helston Railway are granted planning permission to build a railway station at Trevarno Farm."
The group is opposing the development on the grounds that it would lead to a loss of privacy and quality of life along with the impact that a new access road, near Chynhale Chapel, would have on the local environment.
