Hundreds are raised for the RNLI lifesavers
POLRUAN'S annual Lifeboat Day took place on the town quay under blue skies and warm sunshine.
After last year's rainswept event, this year's visitors enjoyed some seasonal summer warmth at the event, which raised more than £600.
The Quay became home to cake and bric-a-brac stalls, a treasure hunt and smiling faces during the day.
There was also a chance to visit the 1902 former Looe lifeboat Ryder, which docked alongside Fowey's modern-day all-weather boat the Maurice and Joyce Hardy on Polruan pontoon and gave visitors a first-hand look at the differences produced by more than a century of shipbuilding evolution.
