DETECTIVES are trying to establish the victims of a series of cheque fraud crimes totalling almost £700 in the Bude area which occurred a year ago.

PC Graeme Anderton, from Launceston CID, is trying to locate the victims of cheque frauds in the Bude area between September, 2011, and December, 2011, when Lloyds Bank cheques were issued for the values of £100, £230.50 and £359.

These cheques are believed to have been issued by a man living in Bude with a Derbyshire accent.

Officers are aware that these cheques have bounced but they do not know who the victims are. They form part of a bigger series of frauds.
